“The room is beautifully furnished, with a comfortable bedding and a great bath tub. We also enjoyed the spa. The staff were incredible kind and helpful. It’s located in a very quiet area with a lovely park, but very easy access to the city center and the Citadel. Thank you very much for the amazing stay.”

“The Le Sauvage locates at the old city of Besancon. After entering the city, just get towards the Fortress (Citadelle) and there are signs indicating the direction to Hotel. The roads are narrow, but they are all one ways and therefore yet easy to get there. Also by taking the city bus to Citadelle and get off at the cathedral, the Hotel is some 8 minutes' walk away. The hotel complex should have been a historical convent, however the interior is renovated to meet modern standards. Our room was neat with view to the garden and the city. The bed was very comfortable. My husband liked the bathtub very much. Every must-sees is within walking distance- the marketplace, the museums, the cathedral and the fortress. The staff provided us the city map during check-in and gave us an idea about getting around the city. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant. We must say that it's our best menu experience. The service and the kitchen are working exceptionally good to deliver a nice dining experience. One can judge by themselves with the photos. We had planned to stay one night in Besancon, and shortly before starting our trip we decided to extend the stay to two nights. I called the Hotel and the staff managed to change the booking quickly. Also the staff at front desk, in restaurant are very friendly and efficient. We are very satisfied with our stay in Le Sauvage and sure that we will visit Beancon again because of this.”

“Hotel in a unique location near the citadel of Besançon. Great atmosphere, comfortable rooms & private parking. The restaurant is great (reservation recommended). Breakfast buffet was reasonably good, but had not that much options. WiFi is my room was very weak.”
